NAGPUR: The three-day 4th International Principals' Educational Conference was inaugurated on Tuesday in the city to deliberate over the current educational scenario. The conference will conclude on Thursday with former president APJ Abdul Kalam giving the valedictory speech.

Senior academician Mukta Chatterjee delivered the keynote address and talked about 'pedagogy-content and its form'.
The theme 'back to the blackboard' of this year's conference aims at addressing related issues.
This year, principals from across the country are participating.
A couple of papers were also presented during the day with the first being from Uma Bhalerao, principal of MKH Sancheti Public School and Junior College.
Talking about interactive classrooms, Bhalerao said, "Interactive classrooms are least interactive, with ample social disconnect."
Pushpa Anantnarayan, a teacher from Saraswati Vidyalaya, in her presentation stated, "Techniques work more than technology, an interactive board cannot take away the requisiteness from the quintessential blackboard."
Gaurav Shukla, a participant, emphasized that rural areas face poverty, illiteracy, infrastructural problems, and do not have access to electricity forget e-boards. "The country needs teacher-preneurs, who can lead students, and can think to get the best out of limited tech-resources," he said.
